Gateway’s new AMD Nile Platform LT32 ultra-portable coming soon with affordable price

The promised influx of ultra-portable laptops are coming now and in heaps. Now Gateway has let the unveiled it’s new LT32 AMD based ultra-portable that is soon to hit stores. The Gateway LT32 is a 11.6-inch ultra-portable that will weight 2.76 pounds in total and maintains a battery life of up to 5.5 hours(with 6-cell battery).
gateway lt32 ultra-portable laptopThe Gateway LT32 like the new Acer Aspire One ultra-portables comes with a AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor, which is a single-core Nile Platform processor with a clock speed of 1.7GHz. The K125 is a pretty capable processor and paired with ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics which comes standard on the LT32 you can have a real quality portable laptop for under $500. The Gateway LT32 will cost $450 when it is hits the retailers.

The rest of the features for this ultra-portable laptop includes a 11.6″ LED-backlit display, 2GB DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard drive, Windows 7 Home Premium, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, 3G, a HD webcam, multiple USB ports, a large keyboard, and undersized touchpad and a multi-in-one card reader.

    Wow! Too bad it won’t sell. Intel has a bad habit of bribing retailers to take AMD computers off their shelves. Intel also bribes computer makers to cap the percentage of AMD products they produce.

    It’s illegal, but Intel has been artificially capping AMD’s market share for the last decade.

    Someone should take their mafioso CEO and throw him behind bars.
