Dell Inspiron M101z ultra-portable laptop blueDell of late has been coming out with a new look for their laptops, most notable the Inspiron R line. Well now there is a new ultra-portable addition to the family via the 11.6″ Inspiron M101z. The M1010z definitely took it’s style cues from the latest Inspiron R series of laptops. The new M101z features a new ultra-portable style for Dell which can be seen as a nice improvement from the previous Inspiron 11z laptop.

To keep the tone of new is better that Dell is setting they have decided to go with AMD Neo single and dual-core processors. The Inspiron M101z comes with options for either a AMD Athlon II Neo K125(single-core) or the K325(dual-core) processors. Paired with the processors for these ultra-portables is the ATI RS880M integrated graphics chip.

Right now these notebooks are headed to Dell’s UK retailers for orders with no real indication of US release dates or prices(but we can assume the M101z is coming shortly). The M101z prices start at £379 for the standard single core model in the UK. The standard Dell Inspiron M101z also comes with 2GB of RAM a 250GB hard drive and a 6-cell battery(which provides about 6.5 hours of battery life). [Dell UK]
