Yep, reports are indicating that the ASUS Eee PC 1015N netbook is being prepared for a September release. The 1015N is just the second netbook from ASUS to offer the Nvidia ION 2 graphics. The reports are also calling for the netbook to cost around $399 when it’s released. Hopefully it won’t be the last either, if you haven’t seen just how powerful ION technology is read this.
You can expect to see the 10.1″ ASUS Eee PC 1015N to feature a 10.1-inch 1024×600 pixel LCD. A dual-core Intel Atom N550 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. An Nvidia GT218 GPU paired up with the GMA 3150 integrated graphics. All in all this netbook will out-do pretty much every other 10.1″ netbook on the market when it’s released.
Other spec’s and features that will be in the 1015N include. A chiclet styled keyboard, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, a HDMI output, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, Windows 7 and a 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours of operation. [Via]

Both ASUS and Acer waited until they’d already launched these new versions in Europe before even thinking about the US market. Why should Americans buy from these vendors? It’s better to take our money and wait until HP, Dell or Lenovo come out with their own versions!
