Tablet or Netbook? Why A Netbook Is Still A Better Buy

This holiday season and most likely the next one as well the question for buyers in need of a portable computing device, Tablet or Netbook? There are reasons to own both as well as reasons not to own both. But to keep this short we’ll focus on why a netbook is a better option at this time over owning a netbook.
Netbook’s are Mini Computers and tablets are touch screen computers, both fill that need for portability it would seem. Where the netbook shines is that it’s more powerful and at this time is cheaper than a tablet. There is no learning curve and there are lots of options out there available.
A netbook has better specifications top to bottom when compared to today’s tablet computer. As of now netbook’s are heading toward being just as powerful as a Full-sized Notebook computer is, thanks to dual-core technology that will be coming in just a few months from both AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) and Intel.
Netbook’s don’t have a learning curve so anyone who has ever used a laptop computer can pick one up and just start to use one no problem. Lots of netbooks feature almost full-sized keyboards(usually around 95% of full-size). Also with netbooks they come with the same operating system’s that your full-sized notebook and that your desktop computer will come with so you can expect the same exact experience, only it’s much easier to carry around with no wires–remember that netbooks come with an average battery life of over 9 hours–.
Netbook’s no matter what analysts will say aren’t going to be going anywhere and companies will still be advancing the technology and offer you an even better true Portable Computing experience. Don’t get me wrong both the tablet market and the netbook market will continue to grow, the tablet market will happen more dramatically because it’s new. Netbook’s are already starting to mesh together with tablets in the Convertible Tablet Netbook –Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t and Gigabyte T1005M.
