HP QuickSync is some of the most useful and obvious software I’ve ever tried, I really like it. You know some of what it does is obvious: the HP netbooks are a step above because you can straight away integrate them with your other computers since you can sync all of your media, folders, and emails between all the computers. Okay that’s great, I get that, clear as day.
But really makes their netbooks so addicting to use is if you upgrade some of their software, like QuickSync. About a month ago I upgraded to Syncables version 7 (that’s who makes QuickSync), and suddenly what wasn’t so obvious to me was that it totally upended how I use my phone. It syncs with your Android and other smartphones right? Well I don’t have much memory space left on it, but I can’t help myself from shooting a bunch of videos sometimes on my phone. The videos take up lots of room. Well as soon as I get to my house, my videos automatically sync from my Droid to my Mac and netbook. Wirelessly. Over WiFi. Without me doing anything. So? So they’re immediately backed up. I have more room now. It’s way easier to shoot videos.
Genius. Or, maybe I’m captain obvious haha, but either way HP makes a mean netbook.
