Asus Eee PC Seashell 1018P Netbook w/ Dual Core CPU Up For Pre-Order

Asus Eee PC Seashell 1018P BlackIn the dark of night the dual-core version of the Asus Eee PC 1018P has been launched here in the US for pre-orders. The netbook comes in a Black or White (picture above) colored aluminum chassis and features a 10.1-inch LCD, two USB 3.0 ports plus one USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0 support and of course the 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N550 processor. The original 1018P didn’t have a dual core processor, but it did have one more USB 3.0 port fora total of three USB 3.0 ports (all backwards compatible with USB 2.0 cables and devices).

The model number for the dual-core 1018P is “1018P-PU27″ and costs $429.00 currently on Amazon for the Black model. There is no info on just when the dual-core netbook will be shipping but you shouldn’t have to wait too long to get your 1018P if you order now. As a side not the original 1018P is still available with a N455 and with three USB 3.0 ports and Bluetooth 3.0 support on Amazon for $419.99.
