Acer Wants Your Kids To Have A Netbook, Creates New Netbook Bundle

Acer Aspire One E100 EducationAcer in an attempt to get the education sectors attention towards their netbook has created a kind of new netbook. The Acer Aspire One E100 Education is the name for the kind of new netbook, it’s kind of new because it’s really the Acer Aspire One D255 re-branded with some new software. The E100 Education will come two operating systems Windows 7 and Google Android OS, it will be able to boot into either operating system when you start-up the netbook.

The Acer Aspire One E100 Education comes will include an external USB mouse (colored to match the Blue lid) and exclusive Education-minded software either pre-loaded or available for installation. The software that is known for now includes Acer Classroom manager (application allows teachers to monitor, instruct and interact with students easier) and Fourier MultiLab Lite software (works with Acer Classroom manager).

For other specifications the netbook will have we could only find meager details. The Acer Aspire One E100 Education according to Notebook Italia will have a 10.1-inch WSVGA (1024 x 600 pixels) display, dual-boot Windows 7 and Android, a 6-cell 8 hour battery, 1GB DDR3 RAM, a 250GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

As for availability all info at this time is indicating that the dual-boot feature will only be found in models selling outside of the US. The price and launch date are at this time unavailable.
