Gigabyte T1005P A Netbook w/ Rotatable Touchscreen and Dual-Core CPU, Details

The market for touchscreen enabled netbooks with up-to-date specifications is limited at this time but Gigabyte will soon be adding a fresh model into the mix. The Gigabyte T1005P is a netbook but it’s also a convertible tablet PC –which means it has a rotatable touchscreen– so it fits in with the convertible tablet netbook category. The new Gigabyte will be coming with the most popular Intel dual-core processor for netbooks at the moment the 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N550.
Specifications for the display show that the T1005P will have a 10.1-inch screen like most netbooks but it will have HD resolution (1366 x 768 pixels) unlike most netbooks, the display being touch enabled comes with support for resistive touch but right now there is no-word on multi-touch (ability to use more than one finger at once) support.
Other than the display and processor inside there are still other features you should know about. The T1005P will be equipped with 1/2GB of DDR3 memory, 250GB/320GB hard drive, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, optional 3.5G module (UMTS/HSDPA), a 4-in-1 card reader, one USB 3.0 (up to 10x faster than USB 2.0) port, a 1.3 megapixel webcam allowing video chatting/calls, two 1.5W speakers, and a 6-cell battery.
The final weight for the Gigabyte T1005P sits at 1.48 kg. and that includes either Windows 7 Starter or Windows 7 Home Premium operating systems which will be pre-installed on the T1005P. At this time the pricing and release date are still unavailable for the T1005P but there are some pictures and you can see those below.
