MSI Wind U160MX Netbook Detailed, Chargeable USB Ports and Biometrics Software

MSI Wind U160 black NetbookMSI has today announced, but not released a photo of (not pictured above), a new 10.1-inch Intel Atom based netbook for their Wind series. The MSI Wind U160MX is the name for the new model and in their press release MSI describes the netbook as being “stylishly sexy” and gorgeous, slender, and light”.

The new netbook makes use of a lot of MSI’s technology that is used on their full-sized laptops. The U160MX features Turbo Drive Engine (TDE) technology, ECO Engine power-saving technology, Easy Face biometric software (uses netbooks HD webcam), Easy Viewer photo manager, the S-Bar tool bar and chargeable USB 2.0 ports as a part of the i-Charger feature.

MSI hasn’t at this time released their release plans for the 10.1-inch Wind U160MX or the price but they have announced the netbook will feature up to 8.5 hours of battery life and they have also released a full specifications sheet that is available below.
