Lenovo ThinkPad X120eThe newest ThinkPad X Series AMD Brazos based ultra-portable has just been made available on the Lenovo website for orders. The Lenovo ThinkPad X120e was expected by many to be delayed until a later date but Lenovo has surprised many and begun offering the ultra-portable 11.6-inch X120e now with a starting price of $399.00.

The base model features the single-core AMD E-240 Zacate Fusion APU but if you want to (we highly recommend) upgrade to the dual-core 1.6GHz AMD E-350 APU you will have to add $48. The E-350 powered has been reviewed recently and it offers very nice multi-media performance and is better than the popular N550 dual-core processor that is found in much of the X120e’s competition. To get an idea of what you would pay for the system you would probably want: I just ordered one with the E-350, 2 GB of memory, Windows 7 professional 64-bit, the 6 cell battery and a neoprene sleeve, it came to $543 after sales tax and a 5%-off coupon.
