MSI has finally released the full details on their upcoming MSI Wind U270 netbook/ultra-portable. The 12.1″ U270 was spotted a few months ago but only rough detials were able to be extracted. The one thing that was certain/exciting about the U270 at the time of it’s discovery was the pressance of the new AMD Brazos Fusion technology.
The netbook will have the AMD E-350 APU which is a member of one of the two Brazos sub-families known as Zacate. The E-350 APU has two 1.6GHz Bobcat cores as well as discrete class AMD Radeon HD 6310 DirectX 11 graphics. Performance from the E-350 has been proven to be much better than Intel’s Atom, with the E-350 really shinning in HD video and 3D gaming performance tests.
Some other features that will be included with the U270 that are important include the 12.1″ HD LED backlit display, one HDMI port, one USB 3.0 port, powered USB ports, a 720p HD webcam with special facial biometrics software for security and the U270 is capable of having up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM.
