Acer Aspire One D255E Dual-Core Intel Atom N570 Netbook Launched, $330

A new Acer Aspire One netbook has been added to the wide range of netbooks on Amazon.com. The new models name is Acer Aspire One D255E-1853 and it is priced at $329.99 and it’s an interesting addition due to the dual-core processor that is at it’s heart. Acer has snuck into the D255E the 1.66GHz Intel Atom N570 dual-core processor.
The netbook is offered currently on Amazon with only Sandstone Brown as a color option but like other Aspire One netbooks more colors are sure to be coming soon. The Atom N570 is a new chip so there isn’t too much known about it or about it’s performance in comparison to the very popular dual-core 1.50GHz Intel Atom N550 processor. However the other features of the netbooks are more predictable.
The D255E features Windows 7 Starter, a 10.1-inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixels) CrystalBrite LED screen, 1.3MP Webcam, Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM), 2-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, (3) USB 2.0 ports, a 6-cell Li-ion Battery (4400 mAh) that is good for up to an estimated 8 hours.
